IWLA Honors C. Rodney LaMothe For Immediate Release: April 10, 2002 (Chicago): Charles "Rodney" LaMothe, president and chairman of Mid-West Terminal Warehouse Company, Kansas City, MO, was honored with the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) Distinguished Service and Leadership Award at their 111th Annual Convention in San Francisco. The Distinguished Service and Leadership Award has been given annually by IWLA for the past 5 years. It is an award honoring individuals who have devoted themselves to serving the 3rd-party warehouse logistics industry through their leadership, integrity, business savvy and dedication. LaMothe has been in the warehousing industry for more than forty years. During these years, he has served the industry in many leadership capacities. He served on the board and is a past chairman for the IWLA. LaMothe has held the position of president for the Kansas City Warehouse Association, Missouri Warehouse Association, Northeast Industrial Association, and the International Federation of Warehouse Logistics Associations. He served on the board for the Central Industrial District Association and was co-founder of the Mid-America Warehouse Association and the Kansas City Industrial Council. In the year 2000, LaMothe was the Kansas City Transportation Association Person-of-the-Year. IWLA president and chief executive officer, Joel Hoiland stated, "IWLA is fortunate to have members as talented and dedicated to the industry as Rod LaMothe.
